Proposed 6900A Upgrading At Compart System

Project Title :
Major 6900A High-Amperage Electrical System & Main Switchboard Infrastructure Upgrading Works

Project Type :
Heavy Industrial Infrastructure / Power Utility

Facility Composition :
Main Electrical Sub-Station Room, High-Voltage Switchgear Enclosures, Main Switchboard (MSB) Plant Vault, Heavy Transformer Bays, and Facility Power Distribution Corridors.

Our Role :
Lead High-Voltage/Heavy Electrical Infrastructure Contractor

Completion Year/Status :
2022

Project Summary :
Executed a massive heavy industrial energy infrastructure upgrade to massively expand a major manufacturing plant's power handling capabilities. This complex project required precise execution under strict timelines to minimize production downtime while heavily fortifying facility safety parameters.

Core Technical Scope Of Works :
  • 6900A Main Switchboard (MSB) Installation : Deployed and coupled heavy-duty, type-tested 6900A Main Switchboards configured for peak industrial load distribution.
  • High-Capacity Busbar Trunking : Fitted massive, low-impedance copper busbar trunking lines to cleanly transport thousands of amperes of raw power from incoming sub-stations directly to main distribution panels.
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC) : Configured and commissioned multi-step Power Factor Correction capacitor banks to maximize energy efficiency and eliminate utility penalty charges.
  • Protective Relay Calibration : Setup, programmed, and calibrated advanced digital overcurrent and earth-fault protective relays to guarantee instantaneous trip isolation during faults.
  • Live Injection Testing & Commissioning : Conducted full-scale insulation resistance, contact resistance, and primary/secondary current injection testing to verify infrastructure integrity prior to energization.
